State Government to observe Farmers’ Day today

Aizawl, Jan 13: As the State Government has declared January 14 as Farmers’ Day, the same will be observed in a grand manner in the State on Thurday.

The main programme in the state capital will be organized here at Vanapa Hall in which Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla will be the Chief Guest while R. Romawia, H&TE etc. Minister and H. Liansailova, Vice Chairman, State Planning Board Guests of Honour.

Lalmalsawma, State Chief Secretary will also grace the programme and deliver Welcome Address. Prof. Lalthantluanga, Vice Chancellor, MZU will give report on their collaboration with University of Minnesota while Rinzuala, UN Programme Coordinator will give report on the collaboration of UN Agencies and the Mizoram Government.

P.L. Thanga, Vice Chairman, NIB will give Introductory Remarks while James Lalrinchhana, Secretary, NIB deliver vote of thanks. Interaction with farmers will be held in the afternoon session of the programme, which will be telecasted by DDK Aizawl from 7 PM the same day.
