Leaders of Mizoram's Autonomous District Councils hold joint meeting to discuss salaries and enhance Cooperation

Aizawl, 6 June (Zoram News): Leaders of Mizoram's three Autonomous District Councils convened a joint meeting at the LADC CEM Conference Hall yesterday. The meeting was presided over by Mr. V. Zirsanga, the Chief Executive Member of LADC.

In accordance with the advice of the Mizoram government, they discussed the salaries of CEM/EM/MDCs. After thorough deliberations, necessary changes were reviewed and revised with a unanimous decision. The meeting emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination among Council members to achieve desired outcomes.

Furthermore, it was proposed that the upcoming ADC sessions would provide an opportunity to pass resolutions and implement necessary measures for enhanced effectiveness.

Mizoram has three Autonomous District Councils operating under the 6th Schedule Areas: Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC), and Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC).

Mr. Robert Romawia Royte currently serves as the Minister for District Council & Minority Affairs, having replaced Mr. R. Lalzirliana on March 15, 2023.
