During the meeting, NHIDCL (National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited) provided an update on the progress of the four-lane road development project between Vairengte and Sairang. The stakeholders present shared their concerns and suggestions regarding the project, emphasizing the need for proper clearances from NHIDCL and other relevant authorities.

Key participants in the meeting included Advisor to the Chief Minister Pu C. Lalramzauva, Principal Secretary of the Forest Department Pu RK Singh, Secretary of the Public Works Department Pu K. Lalthawmmawia, officials from the Kolasib District administration, and the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA). Representatives from local communities, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders were also in attendance.

The Chief Minister provided updates on the land acquisition process and highlighted the importance of addressing the concerns raised by stakeholders. He emphasized the need for transparency and effective communication between NHIDCL and the local communities affected by the project.
