Aizawl, 18 July (Zoram News): Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga convened a meeting today at the CM Conference Hall to discuss the ongoing land acquisition process for the construction of the Vairengte-Sairang national highway.
During the meeting, NHIDCL (National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited) provided an update on the progress of the four-lane road development project between Vairengte and Sairang. The stakeholders present shared their concerns and suggestions regarding the project, emphasizing the need for proper clearances from NHIDCL and other relevant authorities.
Key participants in the meeting included Advisor to the Chief Minister Pu C. Lalramzauva, Principal Secretary of the Forest Department Pu RK Singh, Secretary of the Public Works Department Pu K. Lalthawmmawia, officials from the Kolasib District administration, and the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA). Representatives from local communities, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders were also in attendance.
