Inaugural Program of International Conference Held at Saitual College

Saitual, 4 Sept (Zoram News): On September 4, 2024, the Government Saitual College hosted the inaugural program of the One Day International Conference on Literature, Cultural Studies, Education, and Social Sciences at its auditorium. 

The event featured Saitual Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lalngura Tlau as the Chief Guest, who emphasized the importance of integrating Humanities with STEM fields for holistic societal development. He also urged researchers to focus on practical, reality-based research to address societal issues like delinquency and unemployment.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Jamkhongam Doungel, who highlighted the significance of various Social Sciences and Humanities disciplines in understanding society. The program, chaired by Pi HK. Vanlalhluti, included speeches by several dignitaries and a technical report by Pi Liansangpuii Khiangte. 

The conference attracted international participation, with 54 scholars presenting online and 21 presenting offline, including participants from Nepal, Uganda, Thailand, and the USA.
