C. Zodinpuii Appointed Chairperson of Mizoram State Commission for Women

Aizawl, 16 Oct (Zoram News): Government of Mizoram has appointed Pi C. Zodinpuii, daughter of (L) Lalrinliana of Durtlang, Aizawl, as the new Chairperson of the Mizoram State Commission for Women, effective today.

Pi C. Zodinpuii holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) with a specialization in Family and Child Welfare from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Throughout her career, she has served in various capacities under the Social Welfare Department.

Her roles have included Case Worker, Superintendent of the Remand Home, and a position at the Residential Institute Training Centre (RITC) in Durtlang. She retired from the Directorate of Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs as Joint Director on December 31, 2023.

Additionally, Pi C. Zodinpuii has served as a Master Trainer under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, and worked as a Protection Officer, contributing significantly to the protection and welfare of women in Mizoram.

Her extensive experience and expertise in social welfare are expected to be a valuable asset in her new role as Chairperson of the Mizoram State Commission for Women.
