Mizoram ICT Minister Attends India Mobile Congress 2024 in New Delhi

Aizawl, 16 Oct (Zoram News) : India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, a premier event in the telecommunications and technology sector, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 15, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Representing Mizoram at the event, Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana joined other state IT ministers as part of the official delegation.

IMC 2024, held over eight key sessions, brings together leading telecom companies, smartphone manufacturers, chip producers, and AI startups. These companies showcased their latest innovations and advancements in the field of technology. In addition to IMC 2024, the Prime Minister also launched the World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly (WTSA) 2024, organized by the International Telecommunication Union.

The event, scheduled from October 15 to 18, 2024, includes participation from IT Ministers of various States and Union Territories, as well as experts from government and industry. They are set to discuss topics related to Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Internet of Things (IoT), and India's continued technological progress and innovation.

Dr. Vanlalthlana, Mizoram’s ICT Minister, met with key officials from the Central Government on October 15. As per the current schedule, he is expected to return to Mizoram on October 17, 2024.
